Clinical Rotations (Years 1 and 2)

The first two years of fellowship focus on providing comprehensive clinical training in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Rotations include:

  • Leukemia
  • Lymphoma
  • Plasma Cell Dyscrasias
  • Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy
  • Gastrointestinal and Thoracic Oncology
  • Breast, Gynecologic, Genitourinary and Head and Neck Oncology
  • Melanoma, Sarcoma, and Neurologic Oncology
  • Phase I Therapeutics
  • Palliative Care
  • Benign Hematology Consultation
  • Hematopathology
  • Laboratory Medicine: Including Coagulation, Transfusion Medicine, Cell Therapy
  • Immunocompromised Infectious Disease

Scholarly Activity (Year 3)

Fellows spend the majority of the third year engaged in mentored scholarly activities. These may encompass projects in clinical research, health services research, translational or laboratory-based research, community engagement and outreach, medical education, or other initiatives tailored to the individual fellow’s career objectives.

Continuity Clinic

Throughout their training, fellows participate in mentored continuity clinics lasting 6–12 months, one day a week.

Didactics

Fellows have at least one afternoon a week protected for educational time. Fellows take part in longitudinal curricula in social determinants of health and communication in cancer care. They also attend an annual medical writing workshop series.

In addition to the formal didactic curriculum, a full schedule of divisional conferences and tumor boards are available to round out the fellows’ educational activities, including:
